The last few days before Christmas were consumed on working on this painting, which is for someone special :) It's acrylic and colored pencil on paper. This is nothing like how I normally work but it was a nice change to go back to the world of reality. I actually had a lot of fun using colored pencils and playing around to create the different textures. For the first time in a long time, I got completely absorbed in working and lost track of time and the rest of the world. Finally! I'm hoping to continue to get that involved in my work more often in the future.
