Birthday

Last Sunday was my birthday. Overall it was a pretty normal day, but there were plenty of little moments that made it extra special -- including flowers, a shiny new watch, and Mexican food(my favorite)!

Trestle Bridges

Crossed a few trestle bridges during a mini road trip last week and I cannot get enough of these beauties. 

Fishermen's Terminal

Last Saturday was a beautiful sunny day and my mom and I had some time to kill. We decided to head over to Fishermen's Terminal in Ballard and explore the piers. There were so many interesting shapes, colors, and textures to be seen. I especially love the ever-changing reflections of water on the hull of the boats. 

Pink Explosion

Recently it seems like everywhere I look, there's another gorgeous pink flower calling my name. 

Tried & True

I can't get enough of lines. Ever. I'm obsessed with complex, every-changing patterns of light and shadows. I'm constantly inspired by the lines I find in the world around me. Even after an intense, long, stressful day at work when all I want to do is collapse into bed, seeing these images makes my mind start racing with the possibilities.

A Happy Thought

Sunshine makes everything better. Days seem longer, flowers smell stronger, and food tastes fresher and more satisfying. The weather definitely has a strong effect on my mood and with the sun shinning all weekend, I didn't have any complaints -- not even about my allergies! 

Pink Rhododendrons

I had to take a few pictures of these beautiful rhododendrons on my walk home tonight. The colors are so luscious and vibrant, especially the pinks and greens!
