Succulent Shopping

Saturday succulent shopping -- I fell in love with all these sweet little cacti, and their bright colors and interesting textures. I never thought I'd describe cacti as "cute" but these guys definitely are!

Misty Magic

I've already proclaimed my love of sunsets, but fog is also at the top of my list of favorite things. I love the way it transforms the world into a different place, with that quiet, magical glow -- kind of like a fresh snowfall. Combine a foggy sky with a brillant winter sunset and you've stolen my heart!

Black Lines

Because apparently all I wanted to paint/draw a few nights ago was bold, black lines. And sometimes it's okay to just do what you feel like, without giving it any extra thought.

Raindrops

Washington winters consist of a lot of rainy days, and while the gray skies and non-stop drizzle can get a little boring by the time January rolls around, there's something beautiful about big, fat raindrops streaming down a window.

Sunrise

The last day of 2012 started with a spectacular, brillant sunrise. Not a bad way to end the year!
