Fishermen's Terminal

Last Saturday was a beautiful sunny day and my mom and I had some time to kill. We decided to head over to Fishermen's Terminal in Ballard and explore the piers. There were so many interesting shapes, colors, and textures to be seen. I especially love the ever-changing reflections of water on the hull of the boats.

Recently it seems like everywhere I look, there's another gorgeous pink flower calling my name. 

Tried & True

I can't get enough of lines. Ever. I'm obsessed with complex, every-changing patterns of light and shadows. I'm constantly inspired by the lines I find in the world around me. Even after an intense, long, stressful day at work when all I want to do is collapse into bed, seeing these images makes my mind start racing with the possibilities.

A Happy Thought

Sunshine makes everything better. Days seem longer, flowers smell stronger, and food tastes fresher and more satisfying. The weather definitely has a strong effect on my mood and with the sun shinning all weekend, I didn't have any complaints -- not even about my allergies! 

Pink Rhododendrons

I had to take a few pictures of these beautiful rhododendrons on my walk home tonight. The colors are so luscious and vibrant, especially the pinks and greens! 

Mall Daze

I have to admit that I spend most of my days at the mall, walking the same halls and seeing the same things every single day. Sometimes the monotony of it all is overwhelming and I have to force myself to see things in a new light. Yesterday the sun came out and the buildings came alive with lines and shadows I had never seen before! It was like a whole new world and suddenly the mall didn't seem so bad anymore.

Dress-up

I believe you are never too old to play dress-up every once in a while! I fell in love with the colors and stripes of this maxi dress, but unfortunately, it was too big so I just had fun styling it with the clothes I was wearing.
